Gongura Pickle
Ingredients
  • 5 Bunches of Gongura
  • 15 red chillis
  • 125 gr oil
  • 1 lemon size of tamarind
  • salt for taste
  • 6 Garlic flakes
  • Seasoning: 2tsp of oil,1tsp of musterseeds,1pinch of asafoetida
Procedure
  1. Wash Gongura leaves and drain them on a dry cloth till dried.
  2. Take a pan and roast the tamarind till moisture evaporates,keep it aside.
  3. Put a little oil and fry red chillis,remove from the pan keep them aside.
  4. Put 2tsp oil in a pan, put Gongura leaves and cook them till soft,let it cool.
  5. Grind red chillis take the powder in a plate,keep aside.
  6. once Gongura leaves become cold grind them in a blender ,while grinding put tamarind, and grind it like a paste.
  7. Add garlick to the paste, grind few more seconds.
  8. Remove from the mixer. Add salt and red chilli powder. put seasoning mix well.
  9. Place it in a airtight container Yummy Gongura pickle is ready.
