Rava Upma
Ingredients
  • 1 Cup Upma Rava
  • 4 Green chilis
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1/2 " Piece Ginger
  • 10 no cashew nuts
  • Peanuts as required
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tbsp Oil or Ghee
  • Curry leaves
  • 1tsp urad dal
  • 1 tsp chena dal
  • 2 red chilis Broken halved
  • 1 tsp muster seeds
  • 21/2 cups water
Procedure
  1. Chop onion into thin long pieces. Chop green chilis and ginger finely. Heat 2tsp oil in a pan,add chanadal,red chili,Urad dal muster seeds and fry till the dals turn into brown color.Add chopped oinon and ginger green chilis fry 2-3 mins,and add water.Put curry leaves and salt in the water.
  2. Add cashews and peanuts to it.
  3. Cover witha lid.
  4. Allow it boil for 7-8 mins.
  5. When the water comes to boil add 1 tsp ghee or oil thick paste.
  6. Then stop pouring rava.
  7. Mix well add 1 tsp oil or ghee.
  8. Reduce the heat.
  9. Keep stirring while you are stirring add upma rava slowly to boiling water,until it becomes a thick paste.
  10. Then stop pouring rava stir well,you can put some more oil or ghee as required.
  11. Serve hot with the pickle.
  12. Upma is a instant breakfast.
