Procedure
  1. Poornam:Boil gram-dal until half-cooked and drain the water.Add jaggery, grated coconut, cardomom and grind.
  2. Make it thick by heating in low heat for a little
  3. while.
  4. Make this into round balls.
  5. Add a pinch of salt to maida and knead it by adding a few tsp of sesame oil and pat
  6. it on a plastic sheet into round flat shape.
  7. place a ball of poornam on it, mix well and
  8. pat it again.
  9. Heat a griddle, put the poli and add a spoon of ghee around it.
  10. Turn over until both sides are cooked well.
