Ingredients- 500 gms paneer
- 1/2 cup Almonds, (blanched)
- 1/2 cup Raisins, (washed)
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Saffron
- 100 gms Dates
- 2 tsp Green cardamom powder
- 2 tsp Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Poppy seeds
- 125 ml Ghee
Procedure- Cut the cottage cheese into fine cubes and keep aside.
- Heat the ghee and fry the cottage cheese till a light brown colour.
- Boil 3 cups of water, add sugar, stir and simmer the syrup till smooth, then add the lemon juice and keep aside.Let it cool.
- Then add the fried paneer into the cooled syrup.
- Fry all the dry fruits, drain and add to the syrup.
- Let the syrup boil again, add soaked saffron and cardamom powder.
- Sprinkle poppy seeds on top and remove from the heat.
