Paneer Sweet
Ingredients
  • 500 gms paneer
  • 1/2 cup Almonds, (blanched)
  • 1/2 cup Raisins, (washed)
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Saffron
  • 100 gms Dates
  • 2 tsp Green cardamom powder
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Poppy seeds
  • 125 ml Ghee
Procedure
  1. Cut the cottage cheese into fine cubes and keep aside.
  2. Heat the ghee and fry the cottage cheese till a light brown colour.
  3. Boil 3 cups of water, add sugar, stir and simmer the syrup till smooth, then add the lemon juice and keep aside.Let it cool.
  4. Then add the fried paneer into the cooled syrup.
  5. Fry all the dry fruits, drain and add to the syrup.
  6. Let the syrup boil again, add soaked saffron and cardamom powder.
  7. Sprinkle poppy seeds on top and remove from the heat.
