Double Ka Meetha
Ingredients
  • 1 pack Bread (sliced)
  • 1 litre Milk
  • 500 gms Sugar
  • 250 gms cream
  • 100 gms Cashewnuts, (chopped and roasted)
  • 100 gms Almonds (soaked and chopped)
  • A pinch of Saffron (dissolved in a little milk)
  • Cardamom, powdered 5 nos.
  • Butter 250 gms
Procedure
  1. Make each bread slices into four pieces.
  2. Heat butter in a pan and fry bread to golden brown.
  3. Make sugar syrup(500gms sugar 1/2 litre water boil for a few minutes.
  4. Now add the cardamom powder and the saffron dissolved in milk to the sugar syrup.
  5. Boil milk for 15-20 mins keep stirring occationally,,when it is comes to thick turn off the heat.
  6. Take a plate arrange the fried bread pieces and sprinkle the chopped nuts on them.
  7. Next pour the sugar syrup, double cream and milk alternately over the bread pieces while they are still hot.
  8. Allow it to cool down for a while then keep it refrigirator .Serve Chilled.
