Pappu (Daal) , Curries
Bendakaya( Lady's Finger, Bendi)Pullagura
Ingredients:
Lady's finger (Bendi): 1/4 Kg
Onion: 1 (medium size)
Green chillies: 10-15
Turmeric: 1/2 tbl spoon
Tamarind: 1 inch
Tomato: 2
Oil: 2 spoons
Salt: Taste enough
Garlic: 5 flakes
Preparation:
Wash bendi and cut into medium size pieces
Take thick bottom vessel or pressure cooker put oil and heat
Season with Asafoetida, Mustered seeds, Jeera, Garlic, chopped Onion. Fry for 2 minutes
Add green chillies (cut), chopped tomato, turmeric, salt and bendi. Fry for 2 minutes.
Add Tamarind and little water. Close the lid.
If it is pressure cooker keep for 2 vizzles.
After the pressure comes down, smash it. (Smash with Gutti karra (Pappu guthi) not in mixer)
Tangy and spicy bendi pullagura ready.
