Bendakaya( Lady's Finger, Bendi)Pullagura

Ingredients:

 

 

  • Lady's finger (Bendi): 1/4 Kg
  • Onion: 1 (medium size)
  • Green  chillies: 10-15
  • Turmeric: 1/2 tbl spoon
  • Tamarind: 1 inch
  • Tomato: 2
  • Oil: 2 spoons
  • Salt: Taste enough
  • Garlic: 5 flakes

 

Preparation:
 
  1. Wash bendi and cut into medium size pieces
  2. Take thick bottom vessel or pressure cooker put oil and heat
  3. Season with Asafoetida, Mustered seeds, Jeera, Garlic, chopped Onion. Fry for 2 minutes
  4. Add green chillies (cut), chopped tomato, turmeric, salt and bendi. Fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Add Tamarind and little water. Close the lid.
  6. If it is pressure cooker keep for 2 vizzles.
  7. After the pressure comes down, smash it. (Smash with Gutti karra (Pappu guthi) not in mixer)
  8. Tangy and spicy bendi pullagura ready.
