Ingredients
  • 2 tb Grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 ts Black pepper
  • 4 cups Stock or water Juice of one lemon
  • 3/4 ts Salt
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tb Cumin seeds
Procedure
  1. Put grated and toasted ginger & stock into a pot & bring to a boil.
  2. Simmer 30 minutes till the water has reduced by half.
  3. Add salt, cumin & pepper. Simmer for another 2 minutes.
  4. Squeeze in lemon juice & garnish with coriander.
  5. Excellent as a cold remedy & as a starter to an Indian meal.
