Methis Peas Pulav
Ingredients
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 1 1/2 cups of peas
  • 4-5 bunches of fresh methi leaves (fenugreek leaves)
  • 1 tsp. Mustard seeds
  • 3 tbsp. Oil
  • A pinch of hing
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • a small piece of bay leaf.
  • 4-5 green chilies
  • Salt according to taste
Procedure
  1. Wash Rice and pressure cook them till done,(while cooking rice add a piece of bay leaf in the rice and cook)and allow it to cool.
  2. Wash the methi (fenugreek) leaveschop them fine.Kepp aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, hing and green chilies.
  4. Add the methi (fenugreek) leaves and peas and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add 1/2 tsp garam masala and mix well. Cover with a lid and let cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat, add the rice,ghee,and salt and mix well. Serve hot with raitha.
