Jeera Rice
Ingredients
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 2 onions cut into rings
  • 3 cup rice
  • 2 tsp shajira
  • 4 cup ghee
  • 2 tsp cashews
  • 4 whole pepper corns
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • salt to taste
Procedure
  1. Wash rice thoroughly and soak in salt water for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan Put
  3. jeera,bayleaf,pepper corns, cloves, cashews and cinnamon in ghee fry them for few mins.
  4. Add onions and fry until trnsperant.
  5. Add rice.fry them gently till light brown.
  6. Add water and put salt and stirwell, bring to boil.
  7. Cover it cook it on a low flame.Till rice is done.
  8. Remove from the pan and garnish with coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot Raitha.
