Fish-Mango Preparation
Ingredients
  • Fish : 1 kg
  • Onions : 200 gms
  • Green chillies : 6 nos
  • Garlic bulbs : 100 gms
  • Red chilly powder : 2 tab. spoons
  • Ginger : 2" piece
  • Sour Mangoes : 3 medium size
  • Mustered seeds : 3 tab. spoons
  • Red chillies whole : 4 nos
  • Poppy seeds : 2 tab. spoons
  • Coriander seeds : 2 tab. spoons
  • Cloves (lavanga) : 6 nos
  • Elachi (yelaka) : 6 nos.
  • Curry leaves : fistful
  • Salt : to taste
  • Refined oil : 250 ml
  • Turmeric powder : 1 tab. spoon
Procedure
  1. Cut the fish in to medium size pieces, wash well.
  2. Take 1 cup of chopped onions, 50 gms of peeled garlic,ginger,poppy seeds,coriander seeds,cloves&elachi.
  3. These all take in to the chutny boul and in to smooth paste using minimum water. 
  4. Apply these paste,some salt and chilly power to the fish and to marinate for 30 minutes. 
  5. Peel the mangoe,cut into thin slices.
  6. To the cooking panadd oil,add to this 1 sp of mustered seeds,chopped onions,mango slices.
  7. Saute for some time.Add curry leves,turmeric power and lenthwise split greenchillis and saute well.
  8. Add marinated fish pieces,mix well and fry until oil seperates.
  9. Take 2 spoons of mustered seeds,red chilliesand alittle bit of oil in chutney bowl,grind to smooth paste. 
  10. Add little water to the preparation and cook well.
  11. Add the mustered seed-red chilly paste to the preparation just before putting off the fire andmix well.
  12. Tasty Fish - Mango soup is Ready.
  13. Then serve with hot plain rice.
